A voice from Tampere, stepping outside the names and roles others gave her — and choosing an orbit of her own.
SAMI is a Tampere-based Finnish vocalist known as the voice of gothic-punk band Nokken. Her solo work turns inward without becoming quieter, bringing together distorted guitars, post-punk tension and melodies that linger like cold air in an empty room.
Her debut EP, Our Own Gravity, follows the fault line between devotion and possession, grief and hunger, escape and self-invention. Across five songs, SAMI begins choosing a direction of her own. Released through Ontto Virta Records.
